I had an unbelievable time shooting photos during the entire Big Guava Music Festival weekend. After sifting through almost 1,000 shots, here are some of my favorites from the bands I got to see. Advertisements
Aaaaay, it’s almost #SUMMERTIME. Check the stream to this week’s show as me, Huff and Hannah get into some tomfoolery and give away Big Guava Festival tickets with the help of Chief Keef & some marshmallows.
It was a week of firsts on NO WAVES, we were cool enough to be able to give away a pair of tickets to Big Guava Festival on the show this week.
There comes a point in music when bands have to decide between being who they are, & making themselves accessible to a larger audience. Few bands get it like The Orwells do.
Nothing quite says “do-it-yourself punk show” like hosting one inside of a storage unit on a frigid Thursday night. I was lucky enough to catch Perfect Pussy, that loud, noisy, punky band you’ve been hearing about at Unit 19 to kick off a nice long weekend, & was more than stoked to see Permanent Makeup again.
Here’s this week’s show, ya’ll! Enjoy. We played a ton of new music that’s being released in the coming weeks into this summer, & talked about our most anticipated summer releases, as well as why 7-11 pizza needs a little more credit.
So it might have been April Fool’s Day this week, but THE FEST hit us over the head with one of the sickest festival lineups in recent memory.
Yo there’s so much new music crammed into this hour, it’s nuts. Check out the stream below & find something you haven’t heard before. Or maybe you’ve already heard it all…
YO. I had an idea before spring break: hook up my record player, and spin records over the air instead of playing music from the Internet.
Thanks to everyone who tuned in to this one! We talked skateboarding, fart-proof underwear, & even more skateboarding. Scope the playlist below, hit the stream for a replay. Hit me up for a NO WAVES RADIO t-shirt!
Happy Valentine’s Day! I had been wanting to invite this creative little creature onto the show for a while now, & I thought this week was easily the most appropriate. We took a little break from general punkness & got ultra corny this week, so try not to laugh at us too much.
